David Edmond - Drawings

This post shows two selections of my drawings of sculptures and objet drawn in and around London museums and galleries through the winter 2010-11.

These drawings are of strangers in public spaces in central London. Most are unaware that I am drawing them. The defining characteristic of these works is that the subjects were sitting relatively still surrounded by the motions of an active modern city. Isolating them on the sheet of paper from the activity around them emphasises their solace.
